Ok lets assume that you have your nice new shiny blog, its full of great content and you have some products to recommend on your site.However their could be a problem, how are you going to sell anything if no one comes to your blog it becomes just a piece of internet real estate that nobody goes too
The importance of location location
Imagine that you owned a off line business that sold socks, now would you sell more socks on the high street or tucked away somewhere no one knew where you where? Well exactly.Consider you now have the option with the power of the internet that your shop (blog) has the ability to move!!! Unlike the sock shop example by doing certain things correctly your site can move into more prominent position on the search engines and be in the virtual high street.
Be consistent
Google looks for consistent blogs and information the reason for this is google is in the business of delivering relevance in its searches so if your site says its about flowers, but its about motor bikes, Google will see this as a bad thing. So it is good to be clear from the beginning what are you promoting or selling and where possible have this reflected in your domain name and within your blog such as your categories.
Do not be alone
Get links, to your site Google sees this as a sign people are interested in what you have to say. The ways that you get links are too numerous to mention in this article, but it is worth investing time and effort learning how to link build.
Become a writer
Write articles and submit them to various article directories with a link back to your site this does two key things gives you links and visitors to your blog.
