UKs Offshore Wind Farms Expected To Generate Power And Hope
The United Kingdom is getting serious in becoming a green nation, or so it appears as of the moment. The UK Government is said to be using as much as £100 billion on wind farms to be built on surrounding coasts covering the UK.
Main energy providers such as Scottish Power, Southern Energy and E.On are reported to have been on the tables alongside quite a few other companies to make the programme materialize. Quite a few foreign firms are also said to be trying to cash-in on the deal.

Using wind farms to produce electricity will be beneficial to the country’s atmosphere and power dependency but it still has some cons. For one, they only produce power if there is wind and the amount of power, in terms of watts, will vary depending on the wind’s velocity.
The price tag of constructing a wind farm also hovers at £3 million while a gas power plant just costs £1 million.
In recent years, the UK has been finding and doing ways to harness energy that does not need the use of fossil fuels. One of which is laying wave tubes also along the coast which harness power from waves which is pretty much unlimited.
Furthermore, allocation of funds is going to be used to build nuclear power plants. While nuclear power is not 100% answer in terms of environmental point of view, it generates additional power than any other energy source and give off 0 emmission.
If this thing with wind turbines does take off, a much more cleaner and energy efficient UK will benefit more citizens through cheaper energy price and job creations.
